Amateur Radio, commonly known as HAM Radio, involves the use of radio frequency spectrum for non-commercial communication, wireless experimentation, self-training, recreational activities, radio contests, and critical emergency communications.
Amateur Radio Association of Bangladesh (ARAB) is the premier national organization for amateur radio operators in Bangladesh. Founded with the mission of advancing amateur radio as a valuable communication resource and educational tool, ARAB supports amateur radio enthusiasts through training, advocacy, and practical engagement.

Membership
ARAB welcomes all individuals with genuine interest in amateur radio. Members must hold a valid Amateur Radio License issued by BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission).
